Siham (Sisi) is a Clinical Psychologist and has been practicing as a psychologist since 2008. She has experience in dealing with different challenges within interpersonal relationships (including romantic, workplace and familial), Personality Disorders (including, BPD, NPD), childhood and recent trauma, as well as emotional difficulties including anxiety (and phobias), depression, anger and stress.
Siham is also passionate about working with children and adolescents. Siham addresses issues such as Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and emotional regulation. Siham also provides parental guidance by teaching parents psychoeducation to help them understand their child better, and give them tools to help their child outside the therapy room.
Therapy can be a way to facilitate self-growth and understanding for both individuals dealing with specific or ongoing issues, or for those simply searching for guidance. Therapy can help individuals gain a sense of direction in life that will lead to a more meaningful and effective journey that is aligned with their values.
Siham uses a variety of evidence-based therapy in her practice including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and long-term psychodynamic therapy. Siham also uses Expressive Arts Therapy (including Art, Play and Movement Therapy) as a tool to work with both children and adults. Siham’s Rogerian approach emphasises on compassion and allows individuals to explore their inner-self and challenges, by gaining a new perspective on their difficulties. She is particularly interested in Transpersonal Psychology, using Mindfulness and Guided Meditation as tools alongside therapy. Siham teaches psychological skills to effectively manage thoughts and feelings and reduce any negative influence these may have on individuals in various contexts. She believes that wellbeing and human growth begins with helping people recognise what their true potential is and how to achieve it.
Siham has also presented publicly and published articles on various matters including intermarriage, peace-promoting bi-lingual education, parenting, and mindfulness.
